The pay for this role is £13.95 p/h. This role is for 35 hours per week. The Belong catering services are an integral part of our villages, so we need the very best Chefs who will ensure that customers come back time and time again.
As a Chef, you’ll be working with the catering team to provide our customers with experiences that are memorable for all the right reasons. Our Chefs are responsible for ensuring the smooth day to day running of the kitchen and catering services within the village and most importantly for producing food that is delicious as well as nutritious and attractively presented.
We see good food and hospitality as the glue that holds a successful event or special occasion together. You should have the kind of personality that wants to achieve at all times, and the skills to ensure that food is presented fresh, appetising and tasty every time.
There will be opportunities for you to develop the bistro from day one, after all, the more ideas you come up with for improving our menu and helping the Bistro and Catering Manager to increase business, the more you can develop your role. Belong has excellent learning and development opportunities in place to help you do so, plus a range of attractive benefits.
As part of our recruitment process you will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS check. Demonstrates qualities to deliver Belong vision and values appropriate to this level. Good communication skills with the ability to communicate to a variety of people with different needs. Basic numeracy and literacy skills to be able to control stocks and follow procedures.
Prioritises own and others work ensuring completed to the required standard and on time. Remains calm under pressure and able to maintain a relaxed atmosphere in the kitchen and bistro. Good customer care skills. Basic IT skills to be able to process orders.
