Are you an experienced Purchase Ledger professional, an AAT-qualified Accounts Assistant, or someone looking to take the next step towards becoming a Management Accountant?
We're working with an established construction materials business looking for an organised, commercially minded Purchase Ledger Assistant to join its small finance team.
This is a hands-on role, with approximately 75% of your time focused on Purchase Ledger and 25% supporting the Management Accountant with month-end reporting and wider financial activities.
With responsibility for the accounts of a group of six businesses, this is an excellent opportunity to build on your existing experience, develop your technical accounting skills and receive support towards further professional qualifications, such as CIMA or ACCA. The Role Working closely with the Management Accountant, your responsibilities will include: Processing approximately 500 purchase ledger transactions per month across the group. Managing the purchase order inbox and ensuring invoices are correctly coded and processed. Matching purchase orders, invoices and delivery notes, investigating discrepancies where necessary. Raising and resolving supplier queries, maintaining good working relationships. Reconciling supplier statements and ensuring accounts are accurate and up to date.
