Job Title: Paralegal – Pre-Litigation RTA (Office-Based)

Belmont Solicitors is a law firm specialising in personal injury claims. It is a multi-national practice with offices based in Glasgow, Scotland and Preston, England.

We are expanding our pre-litigation team in Preston and are looking for a proactive and organised Paralegal to join our team and manage a pre-litigation Road Traffic Accident (RTA) caseload.

The Role

As a Paralegal in our RTA team, you will:

  • Manage a caseload of pre-litigation RTA claims from start to conclusion/litigation.
  • Communicate with clients, insurers, and other parties primarily over the phone.
  • Draft and issue correspondence, settlement letters, and legal documentation.
  • Prepare claims for potential litigation and assist solicitors with case preparation.
  • Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with firm procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide excellent client care and support throughout the claims process.

This is a fully office-based role, requiring excellent organisational and communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy legal environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Paralegal or legal assistant, preferably in personal injury or RTA claims.
  • Strong phone communication skills and the ability to manage client relationships professionally.
  • Ability to manage a caseload effectively, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and administrative skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Good knowledge of pre-litigation RTA procedures and documentation.
