Salary for this role will be circa £125,000-£165,000 fixed + competitive bonus.

A globally established private markets placement agent is seeking to hire a VP/SVP into its Project Management team in London. The firm advises institutional-quality investment managers across private equity, real estate, infrastructure and broader alternatives, supporting fundraising processes with institutional investors globally. This role sits at the core of live fundraising execution and will involve managing complex capital raising processes across multiple mandates simultaneously. The successful candidate will work closely with senior distribution professionals, GP clients, consultants and institutional investors throughout the lifecycle of a fundraise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing end-to-end fundraising execution across private markets mandates
  • Coordinating fundraising processes, timelines and investor workstreams
  • Managing DDQs, data rooms, investor requests and fundraising materials
  • Acting as a key liaison point between investors, clients and internal distribution teams
  • Supporting LP due diligence processes and fundraising strategy execution
  • Monitoring fundraising progress and ensuring smooth process management across live mandates

Candidate Requirements

  • Prior placement agent experience is strongly preferred
  • Candidates with placement/distribution experience within an investment bank will also be considered
  • Alternatively, candidates with significant in-house private markets investor relations/fundraising experience may be relevant
  • Experience across private equity, real estate and/or infrastructure is required
  • Strong understanding of institutional fundraising and LP engagement processes
  • Excellent project management, organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced, client-facing fundraising environment
