A well-capitalised and fast-growing private credit investment firm is seeking a Head of Origination to lead deal sourcing across a diverse range of credit strategies. With discretionary capital actively available for deployment, the firm is positioned to move decisively on high-quality, structured private credit opportunities predominantly in the UK market.

About the Firm
The firm specialises in generalist private credit, targeting circa £8–15mn ticket sizes per across multiple sectors and structures. Typical deals include specialty finance, platform lending, asset-backed credit, and other non-traditional lending solutions. The investment approach is flexible, data-driven, and focused on generating attractive, risk-adjusted returns through careful structuring and disciplined underwriting.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead the origination and sourcing of new private credit investment opportunities.
- Identify opportunities across sectors, including specialty finance, alternative lending platforms, and structured debt investments that are aligned to the firm’s target ticket sizes.
- Build and manage relationships with platforms, originators, introducers, and intermediaries in the credit space.
- Collaborate with the investment team to assess, structure, and execute transactions.
- Represent the firm externally and develop its presence in relevant market segments.
- Contribute to the strategic development of origination coverage, tools, and processes.
Ideal Candidate
- Experience in private credit, direct lending, or structured finance, with a strong track record of deal origination.
- Deep understanding of private credit structures, credit risk assessment, and transaction execution.
- Strong network across fintech lenders, specialty finance companies, originators, and advisors.
- Ability to independently source, evaluate, and drive deals through to completion.
- Commercially driven, entrepreneurial, and motivated by building a scalable pipeline.
- Confident communicator with excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
