The Role

This position will sit as part of the firm’s transactions team, where you will provide the legal support. There is general counsel in-house, however, this person coming in will be their first Paralegal hire and the only person operating in that capacity. The Paralegal will act as a central operational partner to legal counsel, investment, and asset management teams, ensuring transactions, governance processes, and legal documentation are executed efficiently and compliantly across the portfolio. This is a hands-on, commercially exposed in-house role suited to an experienced real estate paralegal who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced investment environment with multiple concurrent workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external legal advisers.
  • Entity Management & Governance - maintain corporate entity records and ensure ongoing statutory compliance. Support preparation of board minutes, resolutions, and governance documentation. Liaise with external corporate service providers across UK and offshore structures.
  • Contract Lifecycle Management - draft and review first-level commercial agreements (NDAs, engagement letters, service contracts). Coordinate internal approvals, execution processes, and document storage. Track key contractual dates, renewals, and obligations across the portfolio.
  • Legal Data & Documentation - maintain organised legal repositories and transaction records. Respond to internal document requests from finance, tax, compliance, and asset management teams. Ensure integrity, confidentiality, and accessibility of legal information.
  • External Counsel & Legal Operations - coordinate engagement, workflow, and billing with external law firms. Support legal research, internal guidance notes, and template development. Contribute to continuous improvement of legal processes and systems.

Candidate Profile

  • Considerable experience working as a paralegal or legal assistant experience. Ideally within: a real estate investment manager, real assets private equity platform, operational real estate owner/operator, or a law firm with strong real estate transactional exposure.
  • Knowledge & Skills - strong understanding of real estate transactions, corporate governance, and entity structures.
  • Experience supporting multi-stakeholder investment processes.
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and deadline management.
  • Confident communicator able to work across legal, investment, finance, and asset management teams.
  • Comfortable managing multiple concurrent transactions and governance workflows.
