Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants with valid prison clearance (CTC or Enhanced Vetting) to join the healthcare team at a local prison in Liverpool.

This is a great opportunity to work within a secure setting as part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting patients with a variety of physical and mental health needs.

  • Main Responsibilities
  • Supporting registered nurses and healthcare professionals with clinical duties
  • Providing care and assistance to prisoners with a range of health conditions
  • Monitoring and recording vital signs, escalating concerns where appropriate
  • Assisting with medication (if trained) and general health checks
  • Helping maintain a safe, secure, and professional healthcare environment

Essential Requirements

  • Valid prison clearance (CTC, HMP Enhanced Vetting or equivalent) - essential
  • A minimum of 6 months' experience working as a Healthcare Assistant in the UK
  • Comfortable working within a secure, fast-paced environment
  • Up-to-date mandatory training certificates
  • PMVA or MAPA training is advantageous (can be arranged if needed)
