Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Decorator to join our client on a temporary ongoing assignment. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week and will be based across Liverpool and Manchester.

Overview: This role involves carrying out high quality painting and decorating works across both tenanted and void properties. You will be responsible for delivering a professional finish in line with contract requirements and service standards while ensuring a positive customer experience at all times. The position requires travel between sites, with mileage paid for journeys between locations.

Main Duties:

  • Carry out painting and decorating works to a high standard across residential properties
  • Complete surface preparation including filling, sanding and wallpaper removal and application
  • Apply paint, finishes and coatings in line with specification and quality standards
  • Work within both occupied and void properties while maintaining a professional and courteous approach
  • Maintain accurate daily records and provide clear updates on progress and completed works
  • Respond to service issues and complete remedial works in a timely manner
  • Liaise with customers, providing updates and ensuring minimal disruption
  • Manage tools, equipment and materials ensuring they are maintained and used correctly
  • Monitor stock levels and follow correct procedures for ordering and usage

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience working as a Painter and Decorator
  • Strong knowledge of surface preparation and finishing techniques
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Good communication skills and customer focused approach
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own transport
  • Willingness to travel between multiple sites across Liverpool and Manchester
