Good Afternoon, I am currently representing Thurrock Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience.
We are looking for a Team Manager for Children’s services. This role will be based in RM176SL, with a minimum of one week on duty in the office, two days per week outside of duty, and then as required.
The right candidate will:
- Be responsible for leading and managing a Family Help team to deliver safe, high-quality services to children and families.
- Provide leadership and oversight of casework, ensuring cases are allocated appropriately, plans are current, risks are effectively managed, and children receive timely interventions.
- Supervise and support practitioners, providing professional guidance, maintaining practice standards, and ensuring staff receive regular supervision, performance management, and opportunities for professional development.
- Manage team performance, resources, and workforce planning, including monitoring quality and performance indicators, overseeing recording and compliance requirements, managing staffing issues such as recruitment, retention, attendance, and performance, and contributing to budget management.
