We are recruiting for experienced and passionate Senior Children’s Residential Support Workers to join a children’s residential home in Manchester on a temporary to permanent basis. The role is initially offered on a temporary contract of 3-4 months, with a view to transitioning into a permanent position for the right candidate. In this senior role, you will play a key part in providing high-quality, trauma-informed care to young people, supporting their emotional, social, and developmental needs within a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide consistent, high-quality care and support to young people in a residential setting in line with Ofsted regulations and the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015
  • Act as a positive role model and mentor to both young people and junior support workers
  • Lead and support shifts in the absence of the Deputy Manager, ensuring the smooth running of the home
  • Develop, implement, and review individual care plans, risk assessments, and placement plans in collaboration with the wider care team
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with young people, promoting their independence, self-esteem, and wellbeing
