Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Stores Driver to join Berneslai Homes on an initial 3 month temporary contract. This is a part-time role working 22.5 hours per week, Wednesday to Friday.
The Role
- To drive vehicles up to and including 3Β½ tonnes carrying capacity.
- To carry out relevant vehicle checks to ensure that the vehicle meets with legislative road transport standards.
- To transport materials between the depot, properties and agreed locations around the Borough.
- To collect materials from our suppliers and deliver to locations around the Borough.
- To be responsible for ensuring all materials for delivery are secured on the vehicle using the appropriate straps, anchor points and containers.
- To assist with picking orders for delivery.
- Stock rotation and housekeeping in the Stores area.
Experience and Skills
- Minimum 2 years driving experience loading and delivering goods.
- Demonstrate a positive, flexible approach to team working.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Ability to organise own workload and effectively prioritise tasks.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety and manual handling.
- Willingness to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the service; additional hours may be required.
