Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an Accommodation Support Worker to join a Housing Association based in Stoke on an ongoing temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week. This role is supporting adults aged 18+ with complex needs to develop independence and move towards stable accommodation and positive futures. You will work closely with housing providers, statutory services and voluntary agencies to help prevent tenancy breakdown and promote long-term independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored support plans based on individual needs and goals.
- Support service users to maintain accommodation and move into permanent housing.
- Assist with benefit applications, tenancy management, budgeting and independent living skills.
- Deliver drop-in sessions, one-to-one support and group activities.
- Advocate on behalf of service users to access services and entitlements.
- Work collaboratively with external agencies and housing providers.
- Maintain accurate support records, reports and outcome monitoring.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience supporting people with complex needs within housing, homelessness, supported living or similar services.
- Ability to build positive and empowering relationships with vulnerable adults.
- Experience in support planning, outcome monitoring and key working.
