Good Afternoon, I am currently representing Enfield Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience. We are looking for a Social Worker – Adults. This role will be hybrid EN1 3ES.
The right candidate will:
- Undertake Mental Capacity and Best Interests Assessments in accordance with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and DoLS framework.
- Identify cases requiring progression to Judicial DoLS and prepare applications to the Court of Protection.
- Draft high-quality court statements, reports and supporting documentation for judicial scrutiny.
- Analyse complex evidence and make defensible, legally robust recommendations.
- Work collaboratively with ILDS colleagues, health professionals, care providers, legal services, advocates and families.
- Monitor existing DoLS authorisations, ensuring compliance and timely review.
We require the following:
- Is registered with Social Work England.
- Has strong working knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act 2005, DoLS, and Court of Protection processes.
- Has experience preparing court documentation and managing complex capacity cases.
