Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Social Media Officer to join Cheshire & Warrington Combined Authority on an initial 3 month temporary contract.
This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday,
Key Responsibilities
- Create, schedule and publish engaging content across all social media platforms, ensuring accuracy, accessibility and brand consistency.
- Produce high-quality graphics, short-form videos, animations and other multimedia content tailored to different audiences and platforms.
- Monitor social media channels, responding to comments and messages whilst escalating issues where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with communications teams across constituent councils and partner organisations to deliver coordinated messaging.
- Support statutory consultations by producing clear, accessible and engaging digital content.
- Monitor social media performance using analytics tools and make recommendations to improve engagement and reach.
- Assist with digital marketing campaigns, including paid social media activity.
- Provide rapid social media support during breaking news, incidents and reputational issues.
About You
- Previous experience managing or delivering social media content within a professional or public-facing organisation.
- Excellent understanding of social media platforms, current trends, algorithms and audience engagement.
- Experience creating engaging digital content including graphics, short-form video and multimedia assets.
- Strong copywriting skills with the ability to tailor content for different audiences.
