Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an Electrical Team Leader to join Sheffield City Council on an initial 3-month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that individuals within the team adhere to the necessary health and safety guidance, legislation, regulations and corporate/service policies and procedures associated with the required work including CDM, providing induction, training and tool-box talks and ensure appropriate protective clothing and health and safety and other equipment is correctly used and maintained.
- Supervise activities to ensure the delivery of a cost effective, customer focus service that supports the effective use, maintenance and development of the council's property facilities. This includes the monitoring and implementation of premises policy, procedures and standards.
- Act as a member of, and contribute to the work of a Facilities Management Team and deputise for line Managers as and when required.
- Responsible for the effective supervision and coordination of staff to meet the needs of the service to ensure high standards. This will require following SCC systems and procedures for e.g. PDR's and HR policies, monitoring and recording of sickness absence of team members, contribute feedback to individuals and teams with regards to performance etc.
- Promote and maintain the necessary conditions for an effective and safe work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations and codes of practice.
Essential Requirements
- A relevant trade/craft qualification to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent e.g. Gas Fitter, Electrician, Plumber etc.
- Recognised City and Guilds/NVQ Apprentice trained in Plumbing Level 3 Diploma or equivalent.
- City & Guilds 18th Edition BS7671 electrical regulations course.
- City & Guilds 2391 in inspection, testing and verification of electrical installations or equivalent.
