This means it is vital that every education setting in the county offers each and every child the education they deserve, and we will do everything in our power to make that happen. This requires strong collaboration with the wider local authority agenda, particularly with Children’s Services.

This role will specifically sit across the SEND and Inclusion part of the directorate, where we are striving to achieve all of the outcomes of our SEND Strategy which focuses on:

  • Improving outcomes through early help and inclusive practices
  • Coordinated support across education, health, and care services
  • Partnership working with families, schools, and settings

The role requires the ability to use professional judgement to make decisions that have long term consequences. This will involve analysis of complex and ambiguous information.
