Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Human Resources Assistant to join Denbighshire County Council on an initial 3-month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. (Hybrid work included)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide effective support, advice and guidance to employees and managers including school based staff on all aspects of human resources to include, recruitment and selection, time off work and leave, employee relations, terms and conditions of employment, and general enquiries.
  • Act as the first line of contact for the HR Service and provide an excellent customer service to all customers at every opportunity.
  • Administer end to end employee lifecycle transactional processes, including new starters, transfers, leavers etc for all employees and managers.
  • Administer and monitor the recruitment process including preparing vacancy packs, issuing of contractual documentation, Disclosure & Barring (DBS) checks, Education Workforce Council (EWC) checks, reference checks, Right to work in the UK (RTWIUK) checks and other joining instructions.
  • Ensure weekly monitoring takes place with regards to safer recruitment checks to ensure that the Authority meets its corporate safeguarding responsibility.
