Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Roofer to join a Local Authority on a temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out roofing repairs, maintenance and associated building works across a range of commercial and Council-owned properties. The role holder will work both independently and as part of a team to deliver a high-quality, value-for-money service while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and compliance with health and safety requirements.
Main Duties:
- Carry out roofing repairs, maintenance and associated building works in accordance with specifications and instructions provided
- Undertake repairs to a variety of roofing systems within commercial and public sector properties
- Inspect roofing defects and identify appropriate repair solutions
- Work safely and efficiently in accordance with relevant health and safety regulations, policies and procedures
- Use appropriate access equipment and work at height when required
- Liaise professionally with tenants, building users and colleagues
- Ensure work is completed to a high standard with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Report any hazards, defects or health and safety concerns to management
Essential Criteria:
- NVQ Level 2 in Roof Covering or equivalent qualification
