We are recruiting a Deputy Manager to support the day-to-day management of a 9-bed supported living service in Ripon, providing care and support for adults with learning disabilities, challenging behaviour, and mental health needs. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced senior support worker or deputy manager looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and person-centred environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager in the daily running of the service
- Lead, motivate, and support staff teams to deliver high-quality, person-centred care
- Assist with staff supervision, rotas, performance management, and training
- Ensure care plans, risk assessments, and support documentation are accurate and up to date
- Promote positive behaviour support and safe, inclusive practice
- Support compliance with regulatory standards, policies, and procedures
- Act as a role model for best practice and values-led care
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within health or social care
- Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities
- Good understanding of challenging behaviour and mental health needs
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to work flexibly, including some evenings and weekends
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred support
