The predicted salary is between 31500 - 38500 Β£ per year.

Good Afternoon, I am currently representing Lewisham Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 12 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience.

This role will be based at: SE6 4RU, 1 day office based.

The right candidate will:

  • Work as part of a team responsible for the coordination, development and delivery of the Council's emergency planning arrangements in compliance with the Civil Contingencies Act, Resilience Standards for London and other relevant legislation and standards.
  • Lead the coordination of resilience improvement programmes and workstreams.
  • Develop and maintain project plans and documentation to support the effective delivery of this work.
  • Monitor progress against targets and milestones and deliver workstreams within agreed timeframes.
  • Lead on the development, review, and embedding of a range of emergency plans, procedures, and policies, specifically related to the recommendations identified.
  • Ensure arrangements reflect relevant legislation, guidance and local resilience requirements and contribute to maintaining organisational preparedness for emergencies and disruptive incidents.
  • Lead the design or review of strategic, tactical and operational training and exercising packages for emergency response roles.
