I am currently representing Wokingham Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience
We are looking for a Recycling Engagement Officer role will be: RG401BN
The right candidate will:
* We are looking for a Recycling Engagement Officer to help drive a food waste participation campaign in Wokingham Borough.
* The Recycling Engagement Officers will be working across the borough, knocking on doors and carrying out a short survey with residents, speaking to residents about their recycling habits and promoting and educating waste minimisation and recycling in low participation areas.
* It will also involve carrying out surveys of bin stores, identifying the types of bins that are currently in place and the requirements to support Wokingham meeting it’s Simpler Recycling requirements.
We require the following:
* A driving licence is required for this role.
* The role will require candidates to be confident speaking to people, to be comfortable using Excel and Outlook.
* An interest and passion for waste minimisation and recycling would also be advantageous.
