Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a highly skilledPrisonNurse (RGN or RMN)to join the healthcare team within several Prisons.
This role offers a unique opportunity to provide essential clinical care to a vulnerable population in a secure, fast-paced, and rewarding environment.
Due to the nature of the setting, candidates with existing Prison or CTC Clearance are strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients within the prison environment
- Undertake physical health assessments, wound care, and chronic disease management
- Administer medications and respond to medical emergencies
- Work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team, including mental health and substance misuse services
- Ensure all clinical records are completed accurately and in line with service standards
- Adhere to all safeguarding, security, and confidentiality protocols in place within the prison
Requirements:
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with activeNMC registration
- Minimum Band 6 experience, ideally within custodial, A&E, or urgent care settings
- Prison or CTC Clearance(strongly preferred for an immediate start)
- Strong risk assessment, clinical judgement, and communication skills
- Able to work confidently under pressure and within a secure environment
