Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Plasterer to join a local authority maintenance team working across domestic properties within the borough.

Overview: This role involves carrying out a range of plastering repairs and maintenance works within occupied and void social housing properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high quality workmanship while ensuring properties are maintained to a safe and habitable standard.

Main Duties:

  • Carry out plastering repairs including patch plastering, skimming and full wall and ceiling resurfacing
  • Undertake rendering and minor screeding works where required
  • Prepare surfaces by removing damaged plaster and ensuring suitable bonding
  • Complete associated making good works following plumbing or electrical repairs
  • Work within occupied properties with minimal disruption to residents
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations
  • Maintain accurate records of works completed

Essential Criteria:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Plastering or equivalent
  • Experience working within social housing or local authority maintenance is preferred
  • Ability to carry out a wide range of plastering repairs to a high standard
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong understanding of health and safety policies and procedures
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
