Belmont Recruitment are working in partnership with a forward-thinking criminal justice charity in Lincolnshire to recruit a passionate and organised Peer Coordinator. This is a contract role focused on supporting and developing a team of Peer Mentors with lived experience to work across both community and custodial settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Train, and supervise Peer Mentors across the service
- Provide 1:1 support and reflective supervision to peers, ensuring they are confident and well-prepared
- Develop and deliver peer-led workshops, activities, and support sessions
- Act as the main point of contact for peer involvement across the service
- Collaborate with prisons, probation, drug & alcohol teams, and wider community partners
- Help embed lived experience into service delivery and improvement
- Monitor outcomes, keep accurate records, and report on progress and impact
Requirements:
- Experience coordinating or supporting volunteers, peer mentors, or lived experience staff
- A strong understanding of the criminal justice system and/or substance misuse recovery
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly across both prisons and community locations
- A trauma-informed and strengths-based approach to working with people
- A driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable
