Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Education Officer / Advisor to join Nottingham City Council's Virtual School Service on an initial 3-month temporary contract. You will support the educational progress and achievement of children in care, previously looked-after children and children with a social worker. Working alongside schools, carers, social workers and other professionals, you will help improve attainment, attendance and engagement while ensuring children receive appropriate educational support. Key Responsibilities * Support children to access high-quality, inclusive educational opportunities. * Provide professional advice, practical support and constructive challenge to improve educational planning and outcomes. * Monitor attainment, progress, attendance and engagement. * Identify barriers to learning and ensure concerns are addressed through timely interventions. * Work collaboratively with schools, carers, social workers and partner organisations. * Promote high expectations and help narrow attainment and progress gaps. * Encourage inclusive educational provision and appropriate adjustments for children with additional needs. * Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and equality of opportunity. * Support effective educational planning and monitor progress.
