Job Title: Mental Health Support Worker / Health Care Assistant (SW/HCA) Band 2-3, London
Belmont Recruitment is seeking a Mental Health Support Worker / Health Care Assistant (SW/HCA) Band 2-3 to join the Learning Disability Mental Health Team based in Colchester, Essex. The role involves working shifts between 7:00am – 2:00pm and 1:00pm – 8:00pm, available 7 days a week. Flexibility is encouraged, and applicants who cannot work full-time are also welcome to apply. This position is initially on a locum basis with potential for permanence.
The successful candidate will support adults with learning disabilities who have mental health issues, epilepsy, or behaviors of concern. Responsibilities include implementing care plans, promoting client independence and choice, and assisting clients to participate in community activities as part of their treatment. Experience working with people with learning disabilities is desirable, but full training and induction will be provided.
The pay rate ranges from £11.16 to £12.16 per hour, depending on experience, with negotiation possible for highly experienced applicants.
