Good Afternoon, I am currently representing Enfield Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3‐6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience.

We are looking for a Youth Justice Officer for Enfield Council. The role will be based in the EN1 3ES Hybrid location.

Key Responsibilities
  • The candidate will need to be able to write PSR reports, carry out high‐quality assessments using Asset Plus; deliver interventions to reduce the risk of further offending and manage risk of harm to themselves and others.
  • This post requires monitoring of practice and processes, building in close partnership work.
Core Duties
  • Undertake all duties in relation to safeguarding young people and managing risk to the community.
  • Write PSR, referral order and breach reports.
  • Have good analytical skills to carry out high‐quality assessments using Asset Plus.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of risk and risk management.
  • Make referrals and deliver high level interventions using sequencing methods to reduce the risk of further offending, whilst managing risk of harm to themselves and others.
Requirements
  • Must have at least two years of YJS experience.
  • Post holder will need minimum two years' experience of working with children and young people in the youth justice system.
