Belmont Recruitment are currently in search of an NHS Mental Health Hospital Pharmacy Technician Band 5 to join the NHS Mental Health Hospital Pharmacy Team based out of Chelmsford in Essex. The role is Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm, however there is scope for flexibility so applicants who cannot work full time are still encouraged to apply. This is initially on an ongoing locum, however this will most likely be made permanent.
The post holder will be an integral member of the Pharmacy and Medicines Optimisation team. They will work with assistants, technicians, pharmacists and ward staff, undertaking a range of dispensing and medicines supply functions in order to provide an efficient pharmaceutical service to wards and departments. These will be predominately concerned with dispensing, labelling, preparation, accuracy checking and issuing of pharmaceuticals, but will also involve some stock control and management as well as ward visits.
For Dispensary cover, accredited Checking Technician status is preferred, however not entirely essential. The pay rate for this locum role is between £12.52 - £20.52 per hour depending on experience, however this is open for negotiation for someone with years of experience.
