An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a growing domestic abuse charity and support the organisation's strategic growth within the Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) sector. This role sits within a dynamic Business Team and plays a key part in securing sustainable funding, supporting service development and ensuring robust governance and data compliance.
Key responsibilities:
- Preparing highâquality, compelling funding bids, grant applications and tender submissions
- Supporting the Business Development Director and senior leadership team on complex and highâvalue funding opportunities
- Completing tender preâqualification questionnaires and associated administration accurately and on time
- Undertaking horizon scanning and pipeline planning to identify new funding opportunities
- Monitoring and reporting on grants and commissioned contracts in line with SLAs and funder requirements
- Leading quality assurance processes across reporting, monitoring and data outputs
- Managing subject access requests, complaints and data queries in line with GDPR and Data Protection legislation
- Producing written materials including press releases and annual reports
- Building and maintaining strong professional relationships with funders, commissioners and key stakeholders
- Leading designated organisational projects, including digital and service development initiatives
- Line managing and supporting the Data Officer
- Contributing to organisationâwide improvement through data analysis, insight and evaluation
What we're looking for:
- Experience in bid writing, tender submissions and securing grant funding
- Strong understanding of the commissioning environment within the VAWG or related sectors
- Proven ability to analyse data and demonstrate impact and social value
- Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Experience of quality assurance, reporting frameworks and outcome measurement
- Line management experience and ability to prioritise workloads effectively
- Good working knowledge of GDPR and data protection legislation
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes
