We are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3‑6 months with a view to extension or a permanent position for the right candidate. Rate is negotiable dependent upon experience. Location: N22 6UX.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct supervisory functions within a team of Surveyors and Advice Assessment Officers, including inductions, reporting on employee staff productivity, and assisting the Team Manager with formal management processes where necessary.
- Assist the Team Manager in ensuring that all stages of the Disabled Facility Grant (DFG) application and adaptation provision process comply with council policy, statutory guidance, and legislation.
- Assist the Team Manager in ensuring that case file recording and client information are maintained on the council’s Social Care Systems and completed according to standards and linked to performance indicators.
- Within delegated authority, assist the Team Manager in investigating complaints from council members, MPs, and members of the public in accordance with departmental procedures.
- Monitor and report on customer satisfaction, contractors, adaptation service KPIs, value for money through specification of works, additional works requests, and invoicing of completed adaptations.
- Attend site meetings with surveyors, service users, and other professionals to monitor progress, resolve issues, and provide advice on matters raised.
Qualifications:
- Surveying or equivalent background and proficiency in the use of AutoCAD.
- In‑depth knowledge of Building Regulations and codes of practice relevant to adaptations for individuals with disabilities, assisting in ensuring compliance across projects.
