Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Business Support Team Manager to join Liverpool City Council on an initial 3-6 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

About the role

  • Lead, manage and develop a team of Business Support Officers, ensuring strong performance and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee day-to-day business support operations across the service.
  • Work closely in partnership with social care managers to support service delivery and improvement.
  • Take responsibility for key administrative, financial and data processes.
  • Manage budgets, monitor financial activity and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Drive the development of systems, processes and new technologies to enhance service efficiency.
  • Support recruitment, training and performance management of staff.

About you

  • Have substantial experience managing business support functions within Children's Social Care (or a similar environment).
  • Be confident across all areas of administration and financial management.
  • Have strong leadership skills with experience supervising and developing staff.
  • Be highly organised, able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
