Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking a School Caretaker to work on a temporary assignment with an education trust based in Staffordshire. This is a part-time position, working 20 hours per week between 9am and 3pm, Monday to Friday. The role supports the day to day operation, safety, and maintenance of the school site.
Overview: The School Caretaker will be responsible for ensuring the school premises are safe, secure, and well maintained during school hours. The role involves general caretaking and maintenance duties, supporting staff, pupils, and visitors, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Main Duties:
- Opening and securing the school site during working hours
- Carrying out basic maintenance and minor repairs
- Monitoring the condition of buildings, grounds, and facilities
- Responding to health and safety issues and reporting defects
- Supporting contractors and deliveries on site
- Ensuring communal areas, classrooms, and external spaces are well maintained
- Assisting with setting up rooms and moving furniture where required
