Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Housing Support Worker to join a Housing Provider in Leicester.
This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred support to adults with multiple and complex needs.
- Manage a caseload and develop individual support plans.
- Support service users to identify and achieve personal goals.
- Help individuals develop the skills needed to live independently.
- Provide support with housing and tenancy-related issues.
- Assist with rent, rent arrears, bills, benefits and budgeting where required.
- Support individuals to maintain suitable accommodation and prevent homelessness.
- Help service users move towards permanent and sustainable housing.
- Provide advocacy and practical support where needed.
- Build positive and professional relationships with service users.
- Work with local authorities, housing providers and other agencies to coordinate appropriate support.
- Maintain accurate records, support plans and case notes.
- Monitor progress and review support plans regularly.
Requirements
- Experience supporting vulnerable adults or people with multiple and complex needs.
- Experience developing or delivering person-centred support.
- Good understanding of housing, accommodation or tenancy-related issues.
