Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Housing Administrator to join Kirklees Council on an initial 6 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out administrative tasks relating to the ending of tenancies and return of keys.
- Monitor the progress of repairs to vacant properties to ensure homes are ready for advertising as quickly as possible.
- Allocate properties in accordance with the Council’s Allocation Policy.
- Make property offers efficiently to reduce re-let times and minimise void loss.
- Liaise with internal teams, contractors, and partner organisations to support the effective use of housing stock.
- Work closely with teams such as the Accessible Homes Team regarding adapted properties and specialist housing needs.
- Maintain accurate housing records and update internal systems.
- Respond to tenant, applicant, and partner enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Support the overall delivery of an efficient and customer-focused Empty Homes service.
About You
- Experience in administration, housing, lettings, property services, or customer service.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
