Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a HR Advisor to join Bradford Council on an initial 6 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week on a hybrid basis.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide professional HR advice and practical support to managers on all employee relations matters, including absence management, performance, capability, grievance, and disciplinary issues.
  • Lead on complex casework, ensuring consistency, fairness, and compliance with Council policies and employment law.
  • Coach and develop managers to build their confidence in managing workforce matters effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with Trade Union representatives to resolve employment issues constructively.
  • Support the development of HR policies, guidance, and training materials.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR services and processes.
  • Role model the Council’s values, promoting a culture of inclusion, wellbeing, and engagement.

About You:

You’ll be an adaptable and proactive HR professional with a sound understanding of employment legislation and HR best practice. You’ll bring excellent interpersonal skills, political awareness, and the ability to influence and coach others at all levels.
