About the Role:

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you'll play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy services to prisoners. From managing medication administration to providing expert advice, you'll support the health and well-being of individuals in a unique and challenging environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions in line with prison guidelines.
  • Conducting medicines optimisation and providing advice to prisoners and colleagues.
  • Managing stock levels and ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical regulations.
  • Supporting healthcare staff with medication reviews and clinical audits.
  • Delivering patient-centred care to promote better health outcomes.

What You'll Need:

  • Prison clearance (essential - CTC or equivalent).
  • Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC.
  • Previous experience working within a secure or prison environment (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of medicines management and controlled drug protocols.
