Good Afternoon, I am currently representing Elmbridge Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience.

We are looking for a Green Spaces Ranger. The right candidate will:

  • Undertake minor maintenance and improvement work including:
    • The installation, removal, repair or replacement of litterbins, benches, and other items of green spaces furniture
    • The installation, removal and maintenance of signs and posts
    • The repair, repainting and general maintenance of posts, bollards, barriers, and fences etc.
    • Emptying bins
    • The cutting back and general clearance of plants, shrubs and low hanging branches
    • Weed control of noxious weeds
    • Installation of memorial plaques
    • Cleansing of play equipment

We require the following:

  • Experience of general grounds maintenance works
  • All aspects of minor maintenance, construction works and installation of furniture
  • Commercial gardening / greenery cutbacks and power tools
