The predicted salary is between 27.9 - 34.1 £ per hour.

Good Afternoon, I am currently representing Cambridge University NHS Foundation Trust who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience.

The role will be based at: Barton House, Addenbrookes Hospital CB2 0QQ.

The right candidate will:

  • Manage HR case work, advising managers on the interpretation of terms and conditions of employment ensuring compliance with the Trust’s policies and employment legislation to ensure processes are fair, equitable, promote good practice and are free from risk of litigation.
  • Manage the ER Advisor to support operational managers across a range of HR matters for example: leave and pay arrangements, absence and performance management, discipline and grievance matters ensuring that they are implementing and adhering to the appropriate Trust policy.
  • Accompany operational managers at formal meetings in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
  • Support managers in complex and/or sensitive investigations and disciplinary cases. Present management cases to Appeals panels as required.
  • Undertake job evaluation and job matching as and when required.
  • Draft and review HR policies and procedures relating to the employment of staff and act as a lead on specific projects.

We require the following:

  • CIPD qualified or equivalent proven HR skills and experience.
  • Specialist experience of dealing with complex employee relations cases (e.g. change management/ grievance/ disciplinary etc).
  • Experience of staff management, performance management and development.
