Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Personal Advisor to join Cheshire West and Chester Council on an initial 3-month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide young people with care leaver eligibility across the borough a consistent, high quality, and responsive care leaver offer
- Drive the responsibilities of Corporate Parenting within our own services, ensuring care leavers are looked after as though they were our own children.
- Deliver high quality, evidence-based support to young people. Deliver this through performance management and risk management in accordance with the relevant Policies and Procedures.
- Identify support and safeguarding needs for our care leavers, through effective supervision and compliance with all policies and procedures.
- Act as the lead professional for care leavers ensuring robust planning, escalation of concern, and compliance with statutory responsibilities.
Essential Requirements
- NVQ or recognised accredited programme such as Child/Social Care, Education or Youth Work Qualifications
- Experience of working with children, families and young adults. The skills to analyse and link information about young people to identify existing and emerging needs.
- Experience of working as part of a multi-agency team to provide high quality support to care leavers who are transitioning into adulthood.
