Good Afternoon, I am currently representing Brent Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience. We are looking for a Deputy Team Manager - ASC. This position is based within the Hospital Discharge Team, covering a range of in-borough and out-of-borough hospital locations. Given the nature of the roles, it's essential that candidates can work both autonomously and collaboratively in a pressurised, fast-paced environment.

  • Make a positive contribution to the delivery of the service, this will include working flexibly and positively to achieve the objectives of the council.
  • Manage and lead staff to achieve high performance and effective operational delivery, including developing and improving staff capability.
  • Manage a customer focused service and the effective use of resources.
  • Ensure that the council's overall vision, values and ethos are central to the requirements of the service.
  • Support effective working relationships and act as an ambassador and advocate with external organisations.
  • Keep up to date with developments in service delivery and best practice to ensure the service performs effectively and to the highest standards.

We require the following:

  • Track record of achievement at a supervisory and/or management level in a similarly large and complex political organisation.
  • Proven experience of working with adults with learning disabilities and multiple complexities.
  • Direct experience in statutory settings within acute hospital environments.
  • Effectively providing support and supervision to staff in delivering outcome focussed and cost effective assessments, support plans and services.
