Belmont Recruitment are currently working with a NHS Trust based in Harrogate to Harrogate to recruit an experienced Income & Debt Finance Officer. Thsi is a temporary contract for 6-12 months with the view to extend. Key Duties: * Provide support to the departments credit control function, following up overdue invoices to identify and resolve any queries. This will include the processing and issuing of reminders where necessary, dealing with telephone, email and other enquiries. * Support with customer creation and the raising of invoices and credit notes. * Deal with Debt Collection Agencies to minimise the Trust’s risk of bad debt resulting from non-payment of invoices. * Assist with the regular reporting on the age and status of debt. * Provide support to the Financial Accounting Team where necessary to help meet deadlines. Requirements: * Experience of working in a similar role within debt collection, ideally for the NHS or similar environment * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – so that information and advice can be clearly and concisely relayed to all types and levels of personnel both internal and external to the organisation. * Excellent organisational and communication skills have the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines. Location – Harrogate Hospital (Hybrid). Hours – 8:30am – 4:30pm / 9am – 5pm (37.5 hours per week). If this role would be of interest to you, please apply with a copy of your CV as soon as possible
