Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Cost Assistant Accountant to join Stoke on Trent Council on an initial 6 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconciling Purchase Orders (POs) between Buy-it and Civica
- Removing or reducing POs that are no longer required
- Analysing GRNIs to understand gaps between actual commitments and Civica
- Ensuring sufficient POs are in place to avoid delays in invoice payments
- Checking for Unitas invoices paid from the Stoke ledger and vice versa
- Closing down RMS-specific jobs (current financial year) that have not transferred to NEC and must be completed in Servitor (Old and New)
- Managing jobs transferred to NEC without historic costs
Requirements
- Experience working with financial and job costing systems
- High attention to detail and ability to resolve discrepancies
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
