Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced candidate for a Van Driver role on a temporary assignment. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, (06:00 to 14:45 Mon - Fri). The role is based in the West Midlands with collections carried out across the wider West Midlands area.
Main Duties:
- Driving a company van to complete collections of bagged waste, wheelie bins and confidential waste from commercial premises
- Carrying out collections across multiple sites within the West Midlands area
- Loading and unloading waste materials safely
- Completing manual handling tasks throughout the working day, including undertaking walking routes as part of daily collection duties
- Ensuring all collections are completed in line with required procedures and standards
- Maintaining a professional approach when working on site and at client locations
Essential Criteria:
- Previous experience in a van driving or similar collections role
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to carry out manual handling and physically demanding work
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures
- DBS clearance
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
