We are currently recruiting for experienced and dedicated Senior Team Leaders to join established Children’s Residential Care teams across Colne and Chorley. This is an excellent opportunity for passionate childcare professionals looking to progress within a supportive and rewarding environment.
About the Role
As a Senior Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting children and young people within a residential setting, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, and emotional support are maintained at all times. You will lead shifts, support staff members, and help create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the staff team during shifts
- Provide high-quality care and emotional support to children and young people
- Promote positive outcomes and independence
- Maintain safeguarding and care standards in line with company policies
- Support care planning, documentation, and daily routines
- Build positive relationships with young people, families, and professionals
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 6 months’ experience working as a Senior Support Worker or Team Leader within a children’s residential setting
- Experience supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
- NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care (or equivalent) essential
- Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
- Full UK driving licence desirable
