The predicted salary is between 16.2 - 19.8 Β£ per hour.

We are seeking an experienced Recovery Worker to support a residential detox service in Chorley. This role involves working alongside clinical staff to support service users through detoxification and early recovery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor service users during detox, including observations and wellbeing checks
  • Recognise and report withdrawal symptoms or deterioration in condition
  • Support the safe delivery of care plans and prescribed medication regimes (under clinical direction)
  • Complete accurate records, handovers and incident reports
  • Support admissions, discharges and daily routines
  • Respond appropriately to incidents and safeguarding concerns
  • Promote a safe, structured and recovery-focused environment

About You

  • Experience in substance misuse, detox, mental health or residential care
  • Understanding of withdrawal, safeguarding and risk management
  • Confident working in a clinical or semi-clinical setting
  • Able to work flexibly on an ad-hoc basis
  • Strong communication and record-keeping skills

Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS required
  • Relevant health/social care experience or qualification preferred
