We are seeking an experienced Recovery Worker to support a residential detox service in Chorley. This role involves working alongside clinical staff to support service users through detoxification and early recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor service users during detox, including observations and wellbeing checks
- Recognise and report withdrawal symptoms or deterioration in condition
- Support the safe delivery of care plans and prescribed medication regimes (under clinical direction)
- Complete accurate records, handovers and incident reports
- Support admissions, discharges and daily routines
- Respond appropriately to incidents and safeguarding concerns
- Promote a safe, structured and recovery-focused environment
About You
- Experience in substance misuse, detox, mental health or residential care
- Understanding of withdrawal, safeguarding and risk management
- Confident working in a clinical or semi-clinical setting
- Able to work flexibly on an ad-hoc basis
- Strong communication and record-keeping skills
