Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Family Time/Childcare Worker to join Cheshire East Council on an initial 3-6 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise contact sessions between children and their parents or family members
- Ensure all interactions are safe, appropriate, and child-centred
- Provide a supportive and neutral presence during visits
- Observe and accurately record behaviour, interactions, and any concerns
- Follow safeguarding procedures and report concerns appropriately
- Set up and prepare contact spaces to ensure a welcoming environment
- Manage difficult situations calmly and professionally
- Work closely with social workers, family support teams, and other professionals
- Promote positive communication and healthy relationships where appropriate
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or vulnerable individuals
- Good communication and record-keeping skills
- Full UK Drivers Licence
