Belmont Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Housing Officer to work with our client based in the Chester area. This is a temporary role working full-time hours, Monday to Friday.

Overview: The role holder will be responsible for delivering a high-quality housing management service across a designated patch of over 55s properties. The successful candidate will provide effective tenancy management, build positive relationships with residents, and ensure customers receive an excellent housing service.

Main Duties:

  • Managing a designated patch of over 55s properties, delivering an effective housing and tenancy management service
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with residents and delivering excellent customer service
  • Carrying out tenancy management duties, including estate visits, inspections and resident engagement activities
  • Investigating and resolving housing-related issues, complaints and tenancy matters in line with policies and procedures
  • Ensuring properties and communal areas are maintained to a high standard, identifying and reporting any issues where required
  • Maintaining accurate records and updating housing management systems in a timely manner
  • Supporting service charge queries and scheme account processes where required

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous experience working as a Housing Officer or within a housing or tenancy management role
  • Strong knowledge of housing and tenancy management within a social housing environment
  • Excellent communication, customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Experience of managing a housing patch and building positive relationships with residents
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and maintain accurate records
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
