Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Family Intervention Worker / Family Case Worker to join a Local Authority based in Chester. This is a temporary opportunity working with families experiencing multiple and complex challenges, providing intensive support, advocacy and guidance to improve outcomes for children and young people. 📍 Location: Chester – borough-wide travel required ⏰ Hours: Full-time (flexible working, including occasional evenings and weekends) 📅 Contract: Temporary 🔎 DBS: Enhanced DBS with Children's and Adults Barred List checks required 🚗 Travel: Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle essential Key Responsibilities: * Manage a caseload of families experiencing multiple and complex needs. * Lead and participate in Team Around the Family (TAF) meetings and develop holistic assessments and SMART action plans. * Deliver evidence-based interventions to parents, carers and children to encourage positive behavioural changes. * Support families in overcoming barriers and accessing appropriate services. * Advocate for families and coordinate support from statutory and voluntary agencies. * Work with families experiencing challenges including addiction, offending behaviour, mental health issues, homelessness and unemployment. * Work collaboratively with partner agencies to improve outcomes for children and families. * Challenge partner agencies where necessary to ensure families receive appropriate support. * Maintain accurate case records, including children's views and lived experiences. * Undertake home visits and work flexibly across the borough. Requirements: * Previous experience working with children, young people and families. * Experience managing complex cases and coordinating support from multiple agencies. * Experience supporting individuals facing challenges such as addiction, homelessness, offending behaviour and mental health issues. * Strong knowledge of child development, safeguarding and assessment frameworks. * Ability to work independently and manage a demanding caseload. * Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
