Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Catering Supervisor to join Stoke on Trent Council on an initial 3 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Key Duties
- Lead and manage the production and distribution of cook‑chill meals, ensuring consistent quality, portion control and compliance with standard recipes, menus, and Government Food Standards.
- Ensure delivery of a high‑quality catering service that meets contractual requirements and Service Level Agreements, maintaining excellent customer service across all client schools and settings.
- Maintain full compliance with food hygiene, health & safety, and cook‑chill regulations, ensuring hazard analysis documentation and statutory records are accurately completed and maintained.
- Manage ordering, receipt, storage, and stock control of supplies in line with City Council financial and procurement procedures, ensuring cost‑effective use of resources.
- Supervise and coordinate unit delivery schedules, including the management and direction of drivers and vehicles to ensure timely and efficient distribution.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation or equivalent.
- Advanced Food Hygiene Certificate.
